To better serve your custom FRP (Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic) needs, Augusta Fiberglass maintains fully-staffed Engineering and Design Departments. We employ a number of graduate engineers and draftsmen to help in the design of FRP components and to prepare working drawings from your specifications. Augusta Fiberglass filament wound or hand laid-up pipe is manufactured for use in transporting a wide range of corrosive fluids and gasses under pressure or vacuum. Pipe is available in diameters of two inches or greater, in continuous lengths up to 60 feet, and for pressures to 150 psi.
By choosing a particular resin, curing agent, reinforcement, and fabrication method, AFC can control strength, pressure capability, chemical resistance, temperature range, and other performance characteristics to meet particular specifications.
Our pipe can be produced to meet or exceed standards set by ASTM, ASME, AWWA, and API -- as well as other industry and government specifications. AFC flanges and fittings are made of integral one-piece laminate construction on specially prepared steel molds.
